Book Cover Design
Book cover design is one of the greatest stresses and greatest joys in design. At the one time a tightrope work of diplomacy bewteeen publishers, marketers and authors, it is also some of the most expressive work.
These four works are representative of my varied approach to book covers. Winter Bayou features hand crafted type worked from piano wire (violin strings are too small). Revolutions required a very large actual mural be painted and then photographed. GAAY was a straightforward digital composite. The Inquisition book (shameless self-promotion) is very, very pared back, using simply elements of the logo.
